Submit a Safety Watch tip

Read this first. Submitting here does not file a complaint with OSHA and does not preserve any legal deadline. To request an inspection or report retaliation, contact OSHA directly: 1-800-321-OSHA (6742), osha.gov/workers/file-complaint, or whistleblowers.gov. Retaliation complaints under Section 11(c) generally must be filed within 30 days; other laws have different deadlines. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 and OSHA now.

This is not an anonymous or secure-drop system. We do not promise anonymity. A website form can leave identifying records, such as your device, network and the time of submission, and email is not private. We store a one-way hash of your network address only to limit abuse. We do not currently offer a secure-drop service. If you need strong anonymity, do not use this form.

How tips are handled

Tips go to a separate, confidential queue. They are not read by sales, marketing, membership, Foundation or general-purpose AI tools.
Only structured fields (such as whether it is urgent) are sorted automatically. The free-text description is read by a person.
A tip is a lead, not a fact. Nothing is published from a tip alone. A person verifies it against records and gives any company named a chance to respond.
We do not use tip information for marketing, and we do not sell or share it for advertising.
If a legal process requires us to disclose information we hold, we cannot promise to resist it. Retention for tips has not been finalized; see the privacy notice.

Tip intake is not open yet. This form is switched off until a separate protected database, restricted administrator access and retrieval are set up and tested, so that nothing you send could be lost or mixed with other records. No tips are being collected on this page. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. To report a hazard or retaliation, contact OSHA directly (1-800-321-6742). You may write to safetywatch@irongatesafety.org with a general question, but email is not private, so do not send sensitive details.
