IronGate Safety Watch
Editorial Standards and Corrections
Draft for attorney review. This page describes how the site works today. It has not been reviewed by counsel and is not in force until the owner approves it.
IronGate Safety Watch is the news and editorial publication. Payment, advertising, sponsorship or any business relationship never changes what it covers or how corrections are handled.
Standards
- Every fact traces to a source link and a retrieval date.
- "Cited" and "alleges" until a final order exists; "violated" only after one.
- Headlines are fully supported by the record. Characterizations such as "worst" are not used.
- Roughly one in three items covers what is working, such as clean runs or documented corrective action.
- "No records found" is never written as "safe" or "compliant". A failed or partial search is reported as such.
- A person confirms the facility is the right one before anything is published, the company is asked to comment with a deadline, and a second editor reviews.
- Sales outreach is blocked for any company with an open editorial item. Editorial requests never mention products or pricing.
Corrections and company responses
Corrections are published visibly, dated and linked from the original story. Companies named in coverage can submit a response, which is published in full beside the story. Use the correction request and company response forms.
Tips
See how tips are handled. A tip alone is never published.
